Xenon lamp aging factors, generally speaking, light, temperature, and humidity, three elements at the same time, will have an impact on the accelerated aging of the product:
1. UV light:
Ultraviolet light is a vital source of energy and has a significant impact on non-metallic materials. The macromolecular chain of non-metallic materials absorbs the energy of ultraviolet rays and decomposes according to the mechanism of free radicals, resulting in oxidation, ozonation, hydrolysis, and other phenomena. At the same time, the polymer's crystalline orientation, crystalline size, crystalline structure, etc., will also be affected, resulting in a decrease in the material's performance.
2. Temperature:
The thermal energy generated by temperature prompts the breaking of polymer chemical bonds, leading to material degradation. It is generally recognized that for every ten °C increase in material temperature, the rate of chemical reaction increases by a factor of 1-3.
