Materials of oven liner
Future materials must meet better heat resistance requirements. For example, rubber elastic components need to be able to withstand high temperatures of 300 ° C more frequently for longer periods. Organic rubber usually cannot withstand temperatures exceeding 100 ° C, and their characteristics determine that they are unable to cope with this environment. If appropriate heat stabilizers are not added specifically to enhance thermal stability, the limit of traditional silicone elastomers will also stop at 100 ° C. In addition to high temperatures, oven liner mat are also affected by other factors: they must be able to withstand splashes of oil, gravy, and juice, as well as food residue that spills from boiling.
Functions of oven liners
Through specific designs, people can effectively protect the oven door and adjacent surfaces from the influence of heat and food residue by using silicone oven liner. But inevitably, dirt will accumulate on the gasket between the furnace and oven door, and the gasket will heat up during use. In certain areas, the gasket can briefly reach a high temperature of 400 ° C - far exceeding the temperature that traditional elastomers can withstand. Therefore, so far, oven manufacturers have mostly used oven liner for the bottom of the oven made of woven glass fibers and reinforced them with metal wire mesh on the inside. The metal wire mesh can provide strong support for the inner side of the hose and give the necessary resilience to the sealing gasket. In principle, these two materials of copper oven liner can withstand the extremely high temperatures generated during use. However, this type of good oven liner can quickly wear out during daily use. Repeated opening and closing of the oven door can cause deformation of the metal wire mesh, so it is required to have support.
During the baking and cooking processes, woven glass fibers can also absorb the generated oil vapor, which undergoes a condensation reaction over time, becoming rancid and solidifying. The metal mesh will continuously harden as a result, while the nonstick oven liner will become brittle. Due to the difficulty in cleaning fiberglass toaster oven liners, they will eventually become very dirty. Hoses and profiles made of new organic silicon have excellent heat resistance and can maintain elasticity for a long time, even in high-temperature environments. People need to add a heating stabilizer. To achieve optimal thermal stability, suitable heat stabilizers need to be added to a colorless, semi-transparent rubber mixture. The type and dosage of heat stabilizers reflect the maximum thermal stress that organic silicon can withstand. In addition, the color of vulcanized rubber also depends on the type of additive used.
All in all, future materials of oven liners must meet better heat resistance requirements.
