Working principle
DSH series nauta conical screw mixer is a convective batch mixer which is specially designed for segregative, free-flowing powers and pastes. It is famous for it's low-intensity mixing and highest level of mixing accuracy without product distortion.
The basic design consists of two cylindrical screws located at the vessel wall that conveys product from the bottom of the conical vessel to the product surface. The twin-screw is attached to an arm which rotates around the perimeter of the vessel causing convective mixing and shear. The speed of particles in the downward massflow when recirculated by gravity in a conical vessel increases as the vessel diameter decreases. The three actions result in a unique three dimensional mixing action.
DSH series nauta conical screw mixer is widely used in food and chemical industry for:
1) Mixing and homogenization of powders, pastes and slurries
2) Granulation or agglomeration of powders
3) Addition or injection of liquids into dry powders
4) Heating and cooling of powders
Technical advantages
1. Gentle and fast mixing: Gentle and fast mixing can be achieved due to effective drive design and variable speed blending;
2. High-degree of homogeneity: When material is added at the rate of 0.1%, the homogeneity can reach 98% in short time.
3. Heating jacket: A heating jacket can be equipped as an option in the mixing tank shell for heating or drying process. The heating medium can be steam, hot water or hot oil. Design pressure is 0.3 Mpa.
4. Liquid spray nozzle: Spray nozzle can be equipped as an option to add liquid additives which can be evenly sprayed onto the mixture.
5. Well bearing sealing: Shaft sealing is the combination of Teflon packing sealing and air-tight sealing to make sure long life-span.
6. Automatic discharging valve and easy cleaning.
