A bottling line is a complex production line that fills in products, especially beverages into bottles. It works like a conveyor belt and can therefore conduct production on a large scale. The mobile bottling line, on the other hand, can be used for smaller production. It’s easily movable, and that acts as an added advantage. The bottling line equipment may be custom-designed to meet the needs of a specific product. They also have weighing machines to detect bottles that are over or underfilled, thus ensuring uniformity.

How to use a bottling line

The bottles are first placed on the bottling line conveyor belt. The bottles then proceed to the cleaner, where they are rinsed with clean water. They then proceed to the dryer and vacuum. Here, the water is dried and all air is removed from the bottle; this is done to ensure the preservation of the products to be stored. The bottles then pass through the filling station, where they are filled with the product. The bottles are then injected with either carbon dioxide or nitrogen gas for preservation before a bottle cap is applied and sealed. Next, the bottle enters the labeling station, where a brand label is applied. A complete bottling line usually has all the components mentioned above.

Bottling line varieties

The bottling line machine comes in different varieties. The most common is the water bottling line, which is used to bottle clean drinking water. The bottles come in different sizes. The wine bottling machine has a specialized vacuum station to remove all air. This is because oxygen if left in the bottle, may compromise the flavor and quality of the wine. For beer, there is the beer can bottling line, which fills the beer into small cans, and the micro-brewery bottling line, which is recommended for small-scale production. Another common type is the canned juice bottling line.
